Several examples of private tours that your can do in a half day or full day :  


D1 – Half day tour « Villages in Luberon and Lavender »


Depart at 8:30 from your hotel to arrive around 9:30 to hill-top villages in the Luberon, you’ll enjoy a weekly Provencal local market:

  • Monday – Fontaine de Vaucluse
  • Tuesday – Gordes
  • Thursday – Roussillon
  • Friday – Bonnieux
  • Sunday – Isle sur la Sorgue

10:30 we continue the visit in another village : Fontaine de Vaucluse with its clear river passing through the village, the magnificent panoramic view of Gordes and its Village des Bories (village of dry stone huts), the ochre relief of Roussillon and its red houses, the antiques market of Isle sur la Sorgue … On the road from one village to another, we will make a stop in front of lavender fields (bloom period : from mid-June to end July) to take photos or just spend a pleasant moment surrounded by the perfume and palates of blue lavender.





D2 – Half day tour « Van Gogh and Roman monuments »

Depart from your hotel and head to Arles. Le Café La Nuit, start the visit with a cup of coffee at the Café of Van Gogh, then the bridge of Van Gogh Pont de L’Anglois … we follow the footsteps of Van Gogh.
You will not want to miss the arena of Arles, the historical monument placed on the list of UNESCO, telling the stories of Glory Days of Arles.

Saint Rémy de Provence, another village well known for Van Gogh. We will visit Saint Paul de Mausole where Van Gogh spent one creative year. Olive trees around the abbey, Van Gogh’s room and wheat fields from Van Gogh’s painting… you can admire Van Gogh’s painting in the reality.
The tour finishes by a visit to Glanum, the antique Greek and Roman city.
 
 

C1 – Full day tour « Wine of Châteauneuf du Pape and monuments »


A day of quality: We start with a visit of historical monuments. Depending on your preference, you can visit the Pont du Gard or Théâtre Antique d’Orange, or both if the timing allows.

Pont du Gard - a viaduct built in Roman period to draw water from Uzès to Nîmes. This architectural heritage is listed among the monuments of UNESCO and Great Monuments of France.
Antique Theater of Orange - one of the best preserved Roman theaters in the world. The impressive wall, magnificent facades ... Every year, numerous performances are presented by artists from all over the world during the opera festival "Les Chorégies" (from June 20th to August 4th in 2018) still take place in the theater.
In the afternoon, we head to Châteauneuf du Pape, the birthplace of "Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée" ("protected designation of origin"). Discover the vineyards and viticulture. You will also visit cellars and finish the day by tasting great quality wines of Châteauneuf du Pape.    



C2 – Full day tour « Essences of Provence »

Get to know Provence in one day. We start with the hill top villages in the Luberon: Gordes, Roussillon, Ménerbes, Bonnieux ... Wandering through the typical Provencal villages perched on the Luberon Mountain, you can try to look for the places described in the novels of Peter Mayle.
The afternoon will be devoted to the villages in Les Alpilles: the native village of Nostradamus, St Rémy de Provence and the medieval village, Les Baux de Provence. A tasting of olive oil and wine are possible in the areas between these two villages.
If there’s still time, we can go to Arles or Pont du Gard according to your preference.
